Export, uninstalling and your data

Every list in Spendable can be downloaded as a CSV file:

• Gift cards, with balances, buyers, recipients and status.
• Store credit grants, with customer, amount, reason and expiry.
• Loyalty members and their points.
• Reports, including the liability report: outstanding balances, issued, redeemed and expired by month and by currency.

Batch exports of printed cards include live codes, so keep those files private.

Spendable issues real Shopify gift cards and native Shopify store credit. Every balance is held by Shopify, not by us, which means:

• Cards and credit keep working at your checkout whatever happens to the app.
• Your Shopify reports and the gift card list in your Shopify admin always agree with Spendable.

• Gift cards keep working at your checkout, because they're Shopify gift cards.
• Store credit stays in your customers' accounts.
• Claim links on spendable.gift keep showing the code and a link to your store for 12 months, so nobody is left with a dead link.
• 48 hours after you uninstall, Shopify asks us to delete your store's data and we delete it, as our privacy policy explains. Export anything you want to keep first.
